Deep-cleaning the whole house doesn't need to eat your entire Sunday. With the right products lined up and a simple room-by-room order, most homes can go from lived-in to spotless in under three hours.
1. Start high, finish low
Dust and grime always fall downward. Begin with fans, shelves and window ledges, then move to surfaces, and finish with floors. This way you never end up re-cleaning a spot you already finished.
2. Kitchen first โ it's the messiest
Clear the sink of all dishes and wash them with Miss Chemist Liquid Dishwash first, so the sink is empty for wiping counters. Degrease the stovetop, wipe down the backsplash, and finish with the floor.
3. Bathrooms โ let products sit while you move on
Apply your toilet and surface cleaners first, then leave them to sit while you tackle the bedroom or living room. Coming back after 10โ15 minutes means far less scrubbing โ the formula has already broken down the grime for you.
4. Living areas & glass
Use a streak-free glass & surface cleaner on mirrors, windows and glass tabletops. Wipe in one direction with a dry microfiber cloth for that crystal-clear finish without smears.
5. Floors last, always
Sweep or vacuum first to remove loose dust, then mop with a floor cleaner diluted in warm water. Start from the far corner of the room and work backward toward the door, so you never walk over a wet, freshly mopped floor.
