Streaky glass is almost never a product problem โ it's a technique problem. Once you fix how you spray and wipe, the same bottle of glass cleaner suddenly gives you a crystal-clear, streak-free finish every time.
1. Spray less than you think
A heavy, dripping spray takes longer to dry and leaves more residue behind. Use 2โ3 light pumps of Miss Chemist Glass & Surface Cleaner per pane โ enough to lightly mist the surface, not soak it.
2. Wipe with the right cloth
Cotton rags and paper towels leave behind tiny fibres that show up as streaks in sunlight. A dry microfiber cloth โ or a sheet of old newspaper โ lifts the cleaner cleanly without leaving lint.
3. Work in one direction, top to bottom
Wipe horizontally on one side of the glass and vertically on the other (inside vs outside). If a streak does show up, you'll instantly know which side it's on โ no guessing, no re-wiping the wrong pane.
Avoid direct sunlight
Cleaning a window in full sun makes the spray dry almost instantly, leaving streak marks before you've even finished wiping. Early morning or evening light gives you time to work the cloth properly.
Three small changes โ less spray, the right cloth, and the right light โ are usually all it takes to go from streaky to spotless.
